As part of the European Capital of Democracy, from June 10th to 14th, we celebrate Governance Week, an initiative of the Open Government Partnership (OGP), of which Catalonia has been a part since 2020. This week aims to transform the interaction between governments and citizens through global collaboration.
The Directorate General of Good Governance, Innovation, and Democratic Quality invites us to explore the activities organized by the Generalitat and other administrations. These events, aimed at different audiences, illustrate how open government improves the relationship between government and citizens. We provide you with details of the scheduled activities. PROGRAMME:
-Infrastructure and innovation for citizen participation
In this session, we will reflect on two emblematic projects in the field of citizen participation: the new citizen participation law and the provision of the Decidim platform as a digital participation infrastructure within the Open Government Network.

-The Citizen Assembly for Climate in Catalonia: evaluations and learnings
In this session, we will learn about the technical evaluation of these proposals, based on which those that are incorporated into the policies of the Generalitat and how, as well as those that are not included and the reasons for their exclusion will be studied. We will also reflect with some people involved in the project on key aspects of the Assembly.

-Against corruption and irregularities: internal alert systems in Catalonia
The objective of the day is to contextualize the legal framework of Law 2/2023, highlighting the obligations and challenges for public administrations, as well as to take stock of its implementation during the first year. In addition, it seeks to address the protection of whistleblowers and offer the "Alert Channel" service to facilitate the creation of secure and confidential alert channels.

In this webinar, we will delve into the integration of service charters into the principles of good governance and their instrumental nature, and on the key aspects in the elaboration and implementation of service charters determined by the Corporate Framework for Quality Management of Public Services under the jurisdiction of the Government of Catalonia and its institutional public sector.

The Participate in School Prize recognizes educational centers that promote participation and democratic culture for social transformation. The Enric Grau Fontseré School in Flix, thanks to a participatory process with families, students, and teachers, has achieved that its municipality has the smallest Children's and Adolescents' Council in Catalonia.
