#activitat #DemocracyBCN

18 Apr - 30 Sep @ 2024 Online

Help

A conference is a collection of meetings arranged in a programme, with a number of people invited as speakers, and other information fields typical of large congresses or social events (registration, list of organisations that support or sponsor the event, etc.).

Examples: A conference can be a relevant event for an organization and its members, or take place as part of a participatory process or follow a consultation.

Introduction

360º Democracy is a vibrant, year-long initiative in Barcelona that transforms various public spaces into 'Third Places'—interactive installations promoting civic engagement and dialogue.

Details

360º Democracy is an online event scheduled for April 18th, aiming to explore innovative democratic practices. The event is divided into two parts: a morning workshop focused on practical participation with an experimental tool developed to enhance democratic capacity and participation, and an afternoon session dedicated to showcasing democratic innovations from Barcelona or Catalonia. Additionally, it will be presented as a side event of the New Bauhaus Fest.

PROGRAMME:

10 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Workshop

Join our workshop to collaboratively refine Democratic Society's impact model, aimed at enhancing urban participatory processes. This session will bring together policymakers, researchers, and practitioners to merge theory and practice, creating an innovative space for dialogue. Let's work together to build a framework that elevates community voices for meaningful civic engagement.

5 p.m. - 7 p.m.: Conference

Explore Barcelona and Catalonia's democratic innovations with the pioneers themselves during our conference. We are currently finalizing the agenda with distinguished guests and will announce the details soon. This webinar will provide insights into significant projects and offer dialogues with those driving our democratic future.

REGISTRATIONS

September: Following the April event, an experimental public intervention is being organized in Barcelona to explore the potential of art in reducing radicalism and polarization. This initiative, part of the PLEDGE Horizon project, aims to activate co-creation sessions that leverage research findings to address democratic challenges.
