Introduction

The fourth edition of the Biennial of Thought will take place from October 8 to 13 under the theme "The Day After Everything." This event, organized by the Barcelona Institute of Culture, will feature prominent figures from literature, science, sociology, and anthropology.

Among this year's participants are Herta Müller, Nobel Prize in Literature 2009; Wajdi Mouawad, Canadian playwright and writer of Lebanese origin; Zadie Smith, British writer and essayist; Oyèrónké Oyèwùmi, Nigerian feminist scholar specializing in African studies; Jason Hickel, economist and anthropologist; Perejaume, Catalan artist and poet; Begoña Román, philosopher and researcher, and Las hijas de Felipe, a duo of doctors in Baroque literature.

As part of the European Capital of Democracy, the Biennial will also be held at the Canòdrom on October 10 and 11, offering a space for reflection and citizen participation.

The curation of the fourth edition of the Biennial of Thought is composed of Xavier Fina, Mar Rosàs, Raül Garrigasait, CCCB, and the European Capital of Democracy team.
