Introduction
The Administration of the Generalitat of Catalonia, the Government of Catalonia, has a plurality of thematic ethical committees (bioethics, ethics in senior positions, etc.). The conference seeks to reflect on how to better coordinate them and promote the Code of Ethics of the Public Service of Catalonia.
Details
The Network of Ethics Committees of Catalonia is a collaborative space for ethics committees in Catalonia with the aim of promoting ethical culture and integrity in Catalan public administrations. This network is composed of committees from various areas of the Generalitat Administration, local administrations, universities, and their respective public sectors. In the past two years, there have been significant changes in integrity policies, such as anti-fraud plans for European funds and other initiatives. Challenges also include the implementation of the Ethical Code of the Public Service of Catalonia and the consolidation of the Network as a community of practice.
The main objectives of this initiative include promoting public ethics within the new regulatory framework, reflecting on the development of the Ethics Committee Network, and guiding its future evolutions. This event is intended for individuals interested in integrity and public ethics policies, particularly members of ethics committees in the public sector in Catalonia.
The event programme includes various presentations and roundtable discussions with representatives from ethics committees of different organizations and institutions. The event will follow an in-person methodology and will take place at the conference hall of the Administrative District.
